Good deal on a GPU

I bought a used NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 from Jawa last week. It got here in about 4 days, which was pretty quick. Card works great, no issues so far. Definitely happy with the purchase, saved some cash.

Solid experience, consistent quality

This was my third time buying from Jawa, and they're still consistent. I snagged an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D this time. The CPU arrived well-packaged and a day earlier than the estimated delivery date, which was a nice surprise. Just like my previous purchases (a used GPU and some DDR4 RAM), the item was exactly as described by the seller. The buyer protection system always makes me feel secure, knowing that if anything goes wrong, they have my back. Their support is responsive too; I had a question about an earlier order's tracking, and they got back to me pretty fast. It's why I keep coming back here instead of just checking eBay or Facebook Marketplace.

Smooth process for a Pre-built

I was a bit nervous about buying a Pre-built Gaming Desktop online, especially a used one, but Jawa made it really straightforward. The listing for the PC I chose was super detailed, with clear photos and specs. After ordering, I got confirmation quickly. Shipping took about 6 business days to get to me on the West Coast, which was within their estimated window. The packaging was robust, and the PC arrived undamaged. Setup was a breeze, and it's been running all my games without a hitch. I even messaged the seller once with a question about the specific RAM installed, and they responded within a few hours. Customer service on Jawa's side was also helpful when I had a question about their buyer protection policy before I committed to the purchase. Overall, a very positive experience, and I'd recommend them for gaming hardware.

Anyone know how long shipping usually takes for a custom PC? I'm in California and hoping to get it before next weekend.

L Leah J. 2 weeks ago
Depends on the seller mostly, and if they have to build it still. Check the listing, sometimes they put an estimated shipping time. Mine took like 5 days to get to me in Texas.

Hard to say for custom builds. Used parts ship quicker usually. For CA, probably 5-7 business days if the seller is quick to ship. You might be pushing it for next weekend unless you get lucky.

Thinking of snagging a used RTX 3080 from here. Is it actually legit? Like, will I get a brick or a working card?

D Danielle Martin 4 weeks ago
Yeah, Jawa's pretty solid. They have some kind of buyer protection thing, so if it's dead on arrival you can get your money back.

I've bought a couple of GPUs there, never had an issue. Sellers usually have good ratings too, similar to eBay but just for PC stuff.

Can you use more than one promo code on Jawa? Got a first-time buyer thing and a referral code from a friend.

R Rachel Moore 3 weeks ago
Nah, pretty sure it's one code per order. Tried stacking a while back and it wouldn't let me.

how does Jawa compare to like, Newegg or Micro Center for buying parts? are the prices that much better?

M Michelle Thomas 1 week ago
For used stuff, Jawa can be way cheaper than Newegg, especially for GPUs. Micro Center is good for new stuff and if you have one nearby, but Jawa has the used market locked down for PC components.

It's more like eBay but specialized. You're buying from individual sellers, so prices vary a lot. You can definitely snag better deals on used gear than Newegg sometimes, but you gotta hunt a bit.

What's the deal with returns if a part isn't working? Is it a huge hassle or pretty straightforward?

D Donna G. 1 week ago
I had to return a faulty RAM stick once. It was pretty easy, just opened a case with their support and the seller eventually took it back. They have that buyer protection thing, so you're covered.

Yeah returns were easy, did it last month for a PSU that was DOA. Just follow their instructions and it should be fine. Takes a bit to get the seller to respond sometimes but Jawa steps in if they don't.
